Josef Kristofoletti as muralist centers his work at the intersection of architecture, painting, and public space. As a founding member of the artist collective Transitantenna, he traveled throughout North America as part of a mobile living experiment that engaged local communities through public interventions. Hailing from Nagyvard, Transylvania, Josef’s work adds dimension and humanity to commercial buildings and recreational areas across the United States and the globe.

Josef holds an MFA in Painting from Boston University as well as a BFA in Painting from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago.

Josef’s work has appeared in several publications including The Boston Globe, Fast Company, The Guardian, The New York Times, PBS NewsHour, Symmetry Magazine, and Wired
