A Song Written Together
Efren Rebugio launched his career as a muralist in 2013. Born in Florida and raised in Hawaii, Efren, now working in Austin, Texas, describes his style as a combination of vibrant colors, fanciful elements and composition that bring movement to his art. He also travels to music festivals around the United States and the world to participate in live painting events.
Efren holds a B.S. in Sports Medicine from the University of West Florida and studied Graphic Design at the Art Institute of Tampa.
Above all, Efren sees his art as a vehicle for positivity that also inspires the hearts and minds of viewers.
The mural was inspired by music notes created by the Monk Parakeets, popular in Austin, symbolizing community by creating a song of hope.
