About Jo Koy

yJo Koy has risen from performing in a Las Vegas coffee shop to becoming one of the world’s premier stand-up comedians, known for his relatable comedy inspired by his Filipino family. Consistently ranked among the top-grossing comedians by Pollstar and Billboard, he has sold out arenas across the globe—from Madison Square Garden and London’s O2 Arena to Manila’s Mall of Asia Arena and Dubai’s Coca-Cola Arena. His record-setting shows include 11 sold-out performances in Honolulu, earning him a city-declared “Jo Koy Day,” and the 2022 Funny Is Funny World Tour, which opened with a sold-out Climate Pledge Arena and concluded with over 19,000 fans at Tacoma Dome. Beyond stand-up, he starred in the Universal film Easter Sunday—the first major studio film with an all-Filipino cast—which led Daly City to award him the Keys to the City and declare another “Jo Koy Day.”

Koy continues expanding his footprint in film, television and production, appearing in Disney’s Haunted Mansion, voicing roles in The Monkey King, Leo, and The Tiger’s Apprentice, and returning to Netflix with his 2024 special Jo Koy: Live From Brooklyn, part of a two-special deal.
